May Madness with Matsqui Tournament

It was tournament time for a Barn Stormers  team again. 6 dogs got to go to Abbotsford for the weekend and have a great time racing. One of our goals was to get Bowie and Pico to their next titles … it didn’t go quite as smoothly as we’d hoped, but eventually we got there. It just went to prove that even dogs who are experienced can get distracted or out of sorts and not be their usual consistent self.   By the end of the weekend, Odie, Bowie and Pico had mostly figured out what we were asking of them.   Bailey, Lea and Misty were steady and solid both days… lots to say, but ran well. One of the highlights was one heat where the time clocks showed a perfect tie… 21.548 seconds. Not a common sight … our judge told us he might see 3 or 4 in a year of judging. On Sunday, we loaded the team for one race… Odie, Bailey, Lea and Misty … and did our best to get a breakout. We almost made it … we had a 19.447 and breakout was 19.3… good fun!
