Welcome to Barnstormers Flyball
Our Club was formed in 2004 by a small group of dog owners who wanted to have a little fun with their dogs and take part in tournaments as well. We acquired some equipment, found a place to practice and were on our way. We’re always looking for new members who want to play a dog sport in a safe and friendly atmosphere.
Our goal is to welcome all dogs and people whether they want to compete or just plain have fun! No experience necessary! We have our home base on the Saanich peninsula, just north of Victoria, British Columbia.
What is Flyball?
Get ready to experience “Drag Racing For Dogs!”
Flyball is the ultimate relay race for dogs! Teams of four dogs take turns racing over hurdles, launching off a spring-loaded box to grab a tennis ball, and then sprinting back to their handler. As soon as one dog crosses the finish, the next one is off!
It’s fast, noisy, and full of excitement — a true test of speed, teamwork, and focus. Dogs of all shapes and sizes can play, from tiny terriers to big retrievers, and they all love the thrill of the chase. For spectators, Flyball is a blast to watch. For the dogs, it’s pure joy.

With twenty years of history we’ve been lucky enough to have so many doggos race with our Club. Each dog is unique in their personality and temperament, but together they make an unstoppable team!
